- Server Facts -
The 3 Equilizers.com game servers are maintained remotely and are always nuetral. These servers reside in a premium "hosting facility" and linked to dual OC-12 connections (600 megabit x 2 = 800 T1's = 7.7 T3's). The servers run conventional operating systems and are all Pentium MMX class CPUs or greater, with high performance RAID 5 SCSI arrays for the fastest disk access. The three *E* game servers are each located within their own rack mounted server case and housed within the hosting facility in the heart of Silicon Valley (San Jose, CA) Pictures of the facility may soon follow. In such a location and configuration the servers have no mouse, keyboard, monitor, or speakers. As such, these servers have to be operated remotely and thus nuetrally

We wish to thank Barry aka *E*LHT and Mike aka *E*Morgan of Hoplite.org for their continued sponsorship. We are very grateful for their time, effort, and resources. For many years now, Barry and Mike have been offering free hosting to the Online Gaming community - they have selflessly donated their own money, time, and equipment to do so. The greatest expense BY FAR is the high capacity bandwidth that is provided by Mike. The value of the bandwidth is estimated in the 'Thousands of Dollars per month' for a single server, and we are currently running 3 servers. He has alwyas offered these services to the community for free. Barry is the primary administrator of the servers. He spends, no less than, a few hours a day working with the servers. On whole, the services, resources, and time that Barry and Mike have offered the community is monumental. They have truly made many selfless sacrifices in the name of "good gaming"

- History of the Servers -
Prior to their service for *E* the 3 equilizers.com game servers have hosted numerous Delta Force related tournaments. In particular for Hook via Novacentral.com. Hook is the owner and operator of the infamous "Hook's Forum". During the glory of the early DF1 days, LHT and Morgan donated the full-time use of all three servers to the DF Squad Bad Karma. The BK servers were known as some of the "Best in all of Delta Force" because they were the least laggy, and they had a zero tolerance policy for poor conduct

Since November of 1999 LHT and Morgan have been hosting full time servers for *E*. Our zero tolerance conduct policy for *E* members coincided perfectly with LHT and Morg's conduct policy for their servers. Since they first served games for us, we have always stood by one another and toughed out the complaints and arguments that have errupted over our joint conduct policy. We at *E* are firmly committed to helping LHT and Morgan provide a clean server which offers gaming fun for any DF or DF2 player that wishes to join a game in one of our public servers

A few months after *E* first met these two gentlemen, we were so impressed with their character and sportsmanship that we offered them a spot on the *E* roster. We are very happy to have them on board with us now. LHT and Morgan's commitment to serve for the DF community has not waivered since they joined *E*, nor has *E*'s own commitment to the community wavered at all. As such, *E* continues to loan the servers out to DF and DF2 squads in need of match-game and tournament-game hosting. *E* will be happy to help sponsor any game you need served. We will donate our services on a per game basis. The servers are currently setup with DF and DF2. Please see our "Hosting for You" guidelines below

- Fund Raising to Support the Servers -
We at a*E* are currently collecting donations from our members to help offset the cost of the server hardware. LHT and Morg have donated their own hardware ever since they began serving. I am proud of *E* for pitching in to help say "thank you" to LHT and Morg. I would like to take a moment and extend my deepest gratitudes to Cassio FF and the rest of the Fire Fighter squad. During an ICQ chat recently, Cassio FF asked for my address so he could donate money towards the servers. His offer was un-propositioned and was not offered in return for any services. I consider *E* to be comprised of just such people - those with high character, that are selfless and generous. Those that want to ensure a fun gaming environment in Delta Force 2. I feel that FF is a kindred spirit to *E*. Cassio has now recruited some more finnancial support from FF and I want to extend our gratitude to the entire FF squad on behalf of *E*. KUDOSs to FF!!! Thanks guys

- Serving for YOU and YOUR Squad -
We have developed a set of rules for who we will loan the servers to and under what cirumstances we will loan them out. Needless to say the requests for our servers have been wonderful but they have been overwhelming!! The policy we assembled for loaning out servers is designed to give the Equilizers and the Hosts credit for their donations to the DF communicty, to maintain the same high-standards of sporstmanship in the servers, and to thin out the less stable and less responsible squads.
Before we will host for your squad it must be on our list of approved squads. Once on our approved list you will be given an *E* email address to correspond with us, as well as a secure login to a Server Hosting forum to make your hosting request. The criteria for admission to our approved list area as follows:

       1.) the primary page of your squadron's website must display our provided
              graphic and link for Equilizers.com
       2.) we must have a non "free" email address and ICQ contact for the XO
              and CO of your squadron
       3.) only the listed XO and CO of your squad may request server hosting
       4.) our conduct policy will be enforced by YOU while we host for you
       5.) we will host, at our discretion, when time and resources permit
       6.) we do not intend to host more than one match per week
       6.) hosting requests must be made 4 days (48 hours) prior to game times

- Server Rules -
Please be aware of our zero-tolerance policy for conduct in our public servers. Many *E* members have children. In an attempt to keep our games as clean as possible we enforce our strict conduct policy in our servers

       1.) NO FOUL LANGUAGE
          a.) any language that is possibly offensive, derogatory, and racially or
             ethnically insulting
          b.) above rules apply to any text typed in "T" chat, "Y" chat, or
             anywhere within a players name
          c.) in short.. anything you wouldn't shout at a Policeman or your
              minister/rabbi/priest/etc... if you wouldn't say it to them... don't
              dare say it in our servers
       2.) 1ST OFFENSE: will be punted
       3.) 2ND OFFENSE: will be punted
       4.) 3RD OFFENSE: permanent banning from all servers
       5.) NO TRAINERS/CHEATS: permanent banning from all servers
       6.) NO GLITCH HIDING: permanent banning from all servers
       7.) NO WARNINGS: no warning will be given
       8.) NO DEBATING: sysops will not debate/discuss a punting/banning
       9.) WARNING: our servers are used in hosting of matches,
           scrimmages, and tournaments. If you have been banned from the
           servers at any time you may be unable to participate in any events
           that use the servers
