WE ARE AN "INVITE ONLY" SQUADPRIDE AND INTEGRITY:
Equilizers has been an elite squad since it’s inception over two and a half years ago in January 1999. Among our impeccable match record we have secured numerous tourney titles and many of our members have won elite Novaworld competitions in which they demonstrated that they were the best of the best.
MAINTAINING HIGH STANDARDS:
*E* only has room for members that are proud to be here AND willing to tough out rough times. I assure you, I will work overtime to "keep out" or "remove" any person that disrespects what membership means to us. I will continue to work diligently to maintain the phenomenal level of competition and good character that thrives within *E*. I attribute our success not to the high level of game play alone, but to the quality and maturity of the members of our squad.
SUGGESTIONS IF YOU WANT TO BECOME A MEMBER:
We are an invite only team so get to know as many *E*'s as you can. Stop by our forum, come by our servers. The better you get to know us, the better your chance of being invited. We do not tolerate complaining, arguing, cussing, or cheating. DO NOT do any of these things in our servers. We are a very tight group of friends and we wish to maintain this. *E* is as much about good friendships, as it is about good sportsmanship and winning.
PURPOSE OF THIS PROCDURE:
Good skills alone WILL NOT earn you a spot on *E*. It has always taken much more to earn a spot here and I am insuring that it always will. Ask any veteran members about the devotion they feel to *E* and you will understand. We are a family of elite players. This process was designed to allow *E* to learn you, and for you to learn *E*. If you do not have the patience for this process then you are definitley not right for *E*.
The purpose of this process is also intended to create team spirit, sense of unity, sense of formality. It is equally intended to create a big brother to little brother bond between the sponsor and the recruit. The sponsor must take an intimate role in bringint the recruit into *E*. This causes the sponsor to have a vested interest in the outcome of the recruit.
For the recruit they have the benefit of a strong bond to their sponosor as a close friend and confidant. I (*E*Tex) came to *E* because my Sponsor at =SPEC.OPS=, who was Madcap/Nore=SPEC.OPS= left the team. He also sponsored AMCL=SPEC.OPS= and Jenny=SPEC.OPS=. Ya'll recognize those names? We were so close that when Nore came to *E*, Jenny, AMCL, and I all wanted to come here too. Once we got here we realized we had found our permanent home. Since then we all became involved in *E*'s leadership. And this is the squad with which I will stay. The recruiting process should be hard, and it should be long, and it should make the recruit very focused on the goal of becoming an *E*. At the end of the process we are each stronger for it, as is the team.
OFFICIAL RECRUITING PROCEDURE:
1. Prospective recruits must be sponsored by an *E* member
The *E* member is to act as a mentor to the prospective recruit (prospect). It is my hope that the mentor will explain to the prospect the merits of being an *E*, *E* history, the people behind the *E* names, etc. Please consult the website for the *E* Rules and the *E* Recruiting sections
I expect the sponsor to either verify that their prospect thorougly understands what *E* is “all about”, or else take the time to teach the prospect what we are about
2. Once the sponsor feels confident about the prospoect the sponsor then contacts the Gaming Division Leader aka the DL. Fore example the *E*DF1 Division Leader or the *E*OFP Division Leader
3. Once this prospect receives the approval of the DL the sponsor will contact the *E*'s Team Leader (*E*Tex[OG] or *E*Speedster[OG]) and arrange a "group-chat" between the prospect, his/her sponsor, the DL, and the *E*Team Leader
WARNING TO SPONSOR AND RECRUIT. It is the sponsor’s job to make sure the prospect is fully prepared for this group chat!! Sponsors, your reputation is behind the recruit your are "vouching" for. Recruits, your future in *E* depends on you knowing what *E* is about, what our history is about, and who the members are.
4. If the prospect passes the interview (passes the chat with approval of all present), he/she will be invited into the recruiting program which continues for a period of time not to exceed two weeks
The recruits:
- will be given the *E*R tag and will be expected to adhere completely to all *E* standards
- will not be given access to any *E* secure resources nor an *E* email address at this point
- will be kept informed by both their sponsor and their SC, and invited to all *E* events
5. By the completion of the second week of the recruiting period, the DL and the *E*Team leader will decide whether or not we will approve the recruits membership into *E*
new members will be given:
- the *E* tag
- passwords to secure *E* resources
- an *E* email address
- membership to the *E* mailing lists
